Florida CWL Certification
Your permit is the beginning, not the goal.
Florida law requires proof of competency before the state issues you a Concealed Weapon License under F.S. 790.06. We satisfy that requirement — and then we use the rest of the day to actually teach you how to carry. This class is not a checkbox factory. It's an honest introduction to the responsibility you're about to take on, taught by an NRA + USCCA Certified Instructor who carries every day.

What we cover, step by step.

Classroom — Florida Carry Law
F.S. 776 self-defense statutes, F.S. 790.06 permit law, prohibited places, duty to inform law enforcement, and the legal aftermath of a defensive incident.

Classroom — Safe Handling
The Four Rules. Storage at home. Carrying around children and family. Vehicle carry. Range etiquette and commands.

Classroom — Carry Equipment
Holster types and positions (IWB, OWB, appendix), belt selection, concealment garments, common mistakes that get people caught printing.

Range — Live Fire Qualification
State-required proof-of-competency drill, sight alignment, trigger control, reload practice, and individual feedback on every shooter.

Wrap-Up — Next Steps
Your permit application paperwork, fingerprinting locations, training recommendations to actually be ready to defend yourself, and how to use your loaner-firearm credit toward a future class.

What we provide

What to bring
- Government-issued photo ID
- Closed-toe shoes (no sandals)
- A brimmed hat and high-collared shirt for range safety
- Eye and ear protection (loaners available)
- Your own handgun + 50 rounds of factory ammo if you prefer (loaner available)
- Lunch or snack — there is a 30-minute classroom break
Prerequisites
None. You must be at least 21 years of age, legally eligible to possess a firearm under federal and Florida law, and able to safely handle a firearm with coaching.
Your Instructor
Antonio Nobles — NRA + USCCA Certified Instructor
U.S. military veteran. Tampa-based. Certified by both the National Rifle Association and the United States Concealed Carry Association. Every course is taught personally, in small groups, with the same care he would want for his own family.
